FAQs
How Can We Help?
For your convenience, we’ve put together a list of some of the most common questions we are asked and their respective answers. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, give us a call and we’ll get you the information you need!
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY FIRST VISIT?
During your first visit at The Body Remedy, you and Dr. Di Salvo will sit down and discuss your symptoms, history, and goals. She will perform an evaluation which will include assessing your posture, how your move, and how your muscles and soft tissues feel. She will then discuss her findings with you, educating you on what she believes is going on, and give you a plan going forward. Then, time permitting (and usually there is!) you will receive some hands on treatment.
DO YOU ACCEPT HEALTH INSURANCE?
We do not accept any insurance at The Body Remedy. We have found that most insurance plans significantly limit the time and techniques that we can use to get you feeling your best.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The investment for your initial 60 minute visit is $189. Follow up visits range from $105-$130 based on your treatment plan
CAN I USE MY FSA OR HSA CARD?
Yes!
WHAT CONDITIONS DO YOU TREAT?
We treat a wide array of conditions! Check out this page for more info!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Athletic clothing or something that you can easily move around in is recommended. Also, we almost always need direct contact with the skin during treatment, so the clothing you're wearing should allow access to the skin in the area of your concern. For example, if your issue is anywhere on your lower body, wear shorts. If you have shoulder pain, wear a tank top or sports bra. If it is not convenient for you to wear athletic clothing to and from the office, we do have a bathroom that you can change in.
DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?
No, you do not need a referral to come to The Body Remedy.
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO COME?
If you are working with Dr. Di Salvo on recovering from an injury, she will give you a treatment plan with visit frequency after your initial assessment. Typically, once or twice a week for the first couple of weeks and transition based on progress to longer times between visits. That transition time looks different for everyone.
Dry needling and manual therapy techniques, when being done for more preventative or maintenance purposes, can be very effective once a month.
Dr. Di Salvo will be able to give you a more individualized answer after her initial assessment.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Your appointment time is reserved just for you but, we realize life is busy and things come up. We require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a 50% visit fee. If you do not show up for your appointment without any prior notification, you will be charged 100% of the visit fee. We reserve the right to waive this policy at our sole discretion when appropriate.
