Chiropractic Physician, Soft Tissue Specialist, Owner

Dr. Allison Di Salvo (Dr. Allie) is the owner and treating chiropractor at The Body Remedy, where she focuses on helping active individuals move better, recover faster, and get out of pain—without unnecessary downtime.

She is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, where she was named valedictorian of her class, as well as Bates College and Andover High School. In addition to her doctoral training, Dr. Di Salvo has pursued advanced education and certifications in dry needling, Active Release Techniques (ART), instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), and kinesiology taping, allowing her to take a more comprehensive, soft tissue-focused approach to care.

A lifelong athlete, Dr. Di Salvo competed in soccer, basketball, and rowing throughout high school and continued rowing at Bates College, where she served as captain of the team her senior year. A season-threatening injury during her collegiate career was a turning point—it highlighted just how much she relied on her body, and ultimately shaped her decision to pursue a career helping others navigate pain, injury, and recovery.

Since graduating in early 2017, Dr. Di Salvo has practiced in both the Merrimack Valley and Boston’s Financial District, working with a wide range of patients—from endurance athletes and competitive lifters to individuals simply trying to stay active and pain-free in their daily lives. Her experience includes working with marathoners, triathletes, Ironman competitors, CrossFit athletes, and team sport athletes, as well as those whose physical demands are less obvious but just as real—teachers, hairstylists, electricians, and busy parents to name a few.

Over time, she has developed a clear philosophy: pain should not be something you just learn to live with. While she enjoys working with high-performing athletes, she is equally passionate about helping people who just want to get through their day, exercise consistently, and feel good in their bodies again.

Her approach is simple and goal-oriented:

  1. Help you avoid pain and injury through effective, realistic recovery strategies

  2. If you are injured, get you out of pain as quickly as possible—while keeping you moving

Outside the office, Dr. Di Salvo enjoys spending time with her husband, Patrick, and their two children, James and Josephine. Whether it’s time with family and friends, getting outside for walks, or trying new restaurants, she values staying active and present. She’s also an avid gardener with a growing backyard flower garden, a fan of cardio strength workouts, and—like many—occasionally unwinds with an episode of The Real Housewives.
